Yes, all our cross-functional training videos are entirely free!

It enables you to develop mission-critical systems end-to-end.

Analytical training trains you in project management, business and systems analysis, process and data modeling, testing, etc.

Technical training includes SQL, C#, Javascript, and Rintagi platform operations.

Internally we release updates for Rintagi monthly, if not weekly. Whether it be user submitted features, or new market functionalities, you can be at ease knowing that we are supporting Rintagi.

We have an internal policy to stop everything to fix bugs immediately when they are found so you can have peace of mind building on a bug-free platform.

Externallly, we will pick an appropriate version release to Github.

On-premises Rintagi can only be run on Windows machines. If you have a Mac and would like to develop using Rintagi, please install Windows on your machine via Bootcamp.

The free community edition provides a full-featured development environment that enables anyone to quickly build responsive, mobile-first applications with easy drag and drop interfaces. Robocoder does not hold back anything. If your goal is to take Rintagi-built applications to production, you can rely on the free community edition. The applications generated by this open source version has unlimited users and unlimited companies, is highly scalable––and is, best of all, low maintenance.

The community version of Rintagi is fully open-source under AGPL.

The license allows users to freely modify and distribute the source, eventually, redistributing them to the community that could then freely integrate into the original community version.

Feel free to use the community edition of Rintagi.

Upgradation is recommended when you will need more than one environment or if you need enhanced features and services such as deployment options and end-user production capacity. Upgrading is easy - Just log in to your account and choose the upgrade options in your account dashboard or contact us.

Robocoder Rintagi vs. Microsoft Power Apps

Comparison Chart: Robocoder Rintagi vs. Microsoft Power Apps

Feature / Criteria

Rintagi (R)

Power Apps (PA)

Customization Capabilities

R: HIGH

Highly customizable, especially with databases and business logic/rules (constraint, inference, action enabler, computation). Uses conventional languages (JavaScript, C#, SQL). Create complex UIs and workflow automation (i.e., multi-step and multi-system processes). Multi-lingual features are built in.

PA: MEDIUM

Customizable, especially with UX but primarily within the limits of the platform’s capabilities. Restricted development to Power Apps interface. Drag-and-drop UI builder. Create workflow automation via Power Automate. Multi-lingual features require extra coding and customization.

Low-Code

R: HIGH

Low-code with options for full code integration for complex needs using drag-and-drop interfaces.

PA: HIGH

Low-code designed for rapid development using a drag-and-drop interface.

Scalability

R: HIGH

Scalable for large enterprises and good for complex, large-scale applications. Built to scale horizontally (i.e., across multiple servers) or vertically (i.e., more computation power). No cost (free and open-sourced) with unlimited developer and application users.

PA: MEDIUM

Scalable but often best suited for small to medium-sized applications or departmental needs. Also built to scale horizontally and vertically but may depend on resources enabled by Microsoft. High cost and priced per user.

Integration with Other Systems

R: HIGH

Excellent integration with other enterprise systems, especially in complex IT environments. Import/export for data (CSV) and direct integration via web-based SOAP API, connectors, and gateways.

PA: HIGH

Excellent integration with other third-party services through connectors and gateways but greater focus on seamless integration with Microsoft ecosystem.

AI and Data Science Integration

R: MEDIUM

Easily build or integrate AI and data science applications, both public- and private-hosted ones. Integrate with wide range of databases, systems, and connectors. Built-in workflow automation and business processes. Built-in screen to interact with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

PA: HIGH

Strong integration with Microsoft AI services and less emphasis on integrating with external AI applications. Integrate with various external services via connectors. Built-in workflow automation and business processes.

Data Handling and Security

R: HIGH

Strong focus on data security and compliance. Advanced security features, customizable security models, and ideal for regulated industries. Encryption, role-based access controls, built-in MFA, deployments on AWS and Azure environments, and ISO-27001 protocols.

PA: HIGH

Robust security features with encryption, role-based access controls, MFA, and ISO-27001 certification. Comprehensive security and compliance features, especially within Microsoft’s ecosystem.

Future-Proofing

R: HIGH

Easily regenerate any application in latest technologies or coding languages without rewriting previous business logics. Open-sourced so cannot be shut down and can be easily moved elsewhere. Systems running from 15-20 years now run in the latest technologies with original business logics. Code is updated daily/weekly.

PA: MEDIUM

Updates and new features are available but largely driven by Microsoft’s broader strategy and innovation. Built using their own coding language and tied to their Power platform. Closed-sourced so can be shut down and not easily movable.

Mobile Support

R: HIGH

Supports responsive design and mobile applications.

PA: HIGH

Strong mobile support with native apps for iOS and Android.

Version Control

R: HIGH

Built-in version control system that is suitable for larger development teams.

PA: MEDIUM

Limited version control but can integrate with external tools like GitHub.

Ease of Learning and Use

R: HIGH

Developer-friendly by using standard conventional languages (JavaScript frontend, C# middle tier, SQL backend). Designed for both technical and non-technical users, especially Line of Business users. More developer-oriented.

PA: MEDIUM

User friendly but primarily for developers with experience using Power platform. Start using with only your work or school email address. More non-professional-oriented.

Deployment Options

R: HIGH

Flexible deployment options including on-premises, cloud (AWS and Azure), and hybrid. Optional multi-environments: development, UAT, and production.

PA: LOW

Cloud-based with native deployment only on Microsoft Azure.

Cost Efficiency

R: HIGH

Free and open-sourced with updates included. Ideal for longevity, customizability, cost efficiency, and educational teachings.

PA: LOW

Licensed and closed-sourced. Costly especially with more users. Free license only available to try out Power Apps.

Support and Training

R: MEDIUM

Dedicated support and training from the original developers of Rintagi. Comprehensive training materials and documentation. Smaller user base, but good support from vendor.

PA: HIGH

Large community, extensive documentation, and strong support from Microsoft. Dedicated support at extra fees and likely not from original developers.

Freedom from Vendor

R: HIGH

No vendor lock-in because everything is open-sourced. Users can read/change the code and replicate on their own system. Uses Microsoft, SQL Server, and Windows IIS.

PA: LOW

High vendor lock-in because tied to Power Platform (even with export feature) and tightly integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem.
